Summary[edit]
Description"American clock", Seán Mac Diarmada's House - geograph.org.uk - 1127562.jpg |
English: "American clock", Seán Mac Diarmada's House. When looking at this 8-day wind-up clock, I remembered that my grand-parents had a similar time-piece, and they used to call it an "American Clock"; in fact these were quite common in Irish households in the early 1900's. I opened the face to examine the inscription on the bottom of the dial - see 1127567 |
