English: "Beach" Huts, Fortuneswell, Portland Not much of a beach just here on the rocky slopes below the west cliffs of Portland, covered with quarry waste, just above the rocky shore where Chesil beach joins the island. At one time all one had to do was clear a space and put a hut up. Now they are all numbered and exchange for more than £30,000. |
