| Description |
English: The W.R. Davies Ford Agency, Bridge Street. This building has an interesting history. It was built in 1836 by the Calvinistic Methodists as a replacement chapel for one which dated back to 1800. It became associated with the Calvinist firebrand Rev.John Elias who had moved to live in the town with his second-wife, Lady Jane Bulkeley. After the land owner refused to renew the lease, the building became a TA Drill Hall. Meanwhile, the Calvinists built Capel Moreia, opened in 1898, which is known as the John Elias Memorial Chapel.
