I left it in the care of a good friend and turns out…. well… not so good. They have messed with some things on the car not realizing my car is unique. At this point I think there is minimal damage to the electronics , mainly just disconnects and poorly replaced wiring around the windows shifter and console instruments. I cannot really aford to have mercedes benz analyze the problem. I had a new stereo installed by a professional but they obviously did not know the intricate system they were dealing with either. I would like very much to restore the electronics intended for this vehicle with proper manuals and instructions on exactly how to operate the system. I would also want to invest in a proper diagnostic device to maintain computer excellence I am in the Dallas. Texas area and frequent Tulsa, Oklahoma and Des Moines, Iowa. I am wondering if I should continue to follow the diagnostics I am able to understand to repair the shifter and sensors to operate the car on the road and where to begin to fix the other issues or am i wasing my time trying to restore this system and should consider upgrading to a newer model mercedes vehicle. I really want the most sophisticated system mercedes benz offers for my driving experiences in the future. I am just in tears knowing now what I already had in my hands. I want to try again. Any Advice or input that may direct me on the right path. Thanks for listening.
