What is the problem? ECU is the fault that comes up. should i replace the instrument cluster to fix the problem. Car still runs fine

On mine, the metal piece in the bottom of the cigarette lighter tube was broken. Also, check to see if the metal tabs in the tube are bent too far outwards. If so, use needlenose pliers to bend them back towards one another so that when you insert the cigarette lighter or your car charger there is a good connection between the metals. I ended up getting a whole new ashtray assembly off of eBay since the metal seat in mine was actually broken and shorting it out.

How do you remove it to see if it is connected? I suspect that the lighter was disconnected from the harness and that to get it work would only need to be connected.

Vous pouvez avoir un circuit court ou une unité SAM défectueuse. Connectez votre MB à un scanner de diagnostic avancé.
