What fuse type do I need to use?

Your Mercedes-Benz uses Automotive Blade Fuse Type. A box of 100 fuses that include all the different ampere ratings you need costs less than $20 on Amazon.

  • fuse amere ratingWhen replacing blown fuses, use the same ampere rating fuse. The fuse rating is written on the fuse. You can verify that you are using the correct fuse by ensuring the fuse colors match the blown fuse and the new fuse. This indicates the same ampere rating.
  • Make sure to close the fuse box cover properly and lock the tabs. This is very important to avoid any moisture getting inside the fuse box. The fuse box panel has a seal to keep water and moisture out of the box.

Knowing the location of the fuse box in your home or car is important for several reasons:

  1. Safety: The fuse box contains fuses or circuit breakers that control the electrical power supply to various parts of your home or car. In an electrical overload or short circuit, the fuse or circuit breaker trips, cutting off the power supply to prevent damage or fire. Knowing the location of the fuse box and how to access it quickly can help you prevent accidents or fires.
  2. Troubleshooting: If you are experiencing an electrical problem in your home or car, knowing where the fuse box is can help you troubleshoot the issue. You can check the fuses or circuit breakers to see if they are tripped or blown and replace them if necessary.
  3. Maintenance: Regular maintenance of your home or car’s electrical system may require you to access the fuse box to replace old or damaged fuses or circuit breakers. Knowing the location of the fuse box can make this task easier and faster.

Knowing the fuse box’s location is essential to maintaining a safe and functional electrical system in your home or car.
